THE SECRETS BEHIND YOUR CEREAL
KELLOGG’S® APPLE JACKS® CEREAL
Produced by Kellogg’s, Apple Jacks was first introduced in the U.S. in 1965 under the name Apple O’s. The name Apple Jacks was adopted in 1971 after advertisers sought a change. Initially, Apple Jacks consisted solely of orange cereal Os, with the addition of green Os not occurring until 1998. Interestingly, the concept for Apple Jacks Cereal originated from MIT student William Thilly, who was employed by Kellogg’s as a research assistant. As a reward for his contributions, William was invited to create a product, leading to the creation of Apple Jacks Cereal.
GENERAL MILLS CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH CEREAL
This cereal made its debut in 1984, designed to emulate the flavor of cinnamon-sugar toast. Chef Wendell, the cereal’s first mascot, appeared in commercials starting in 1987 but was ultimately replaced in 2010 by cartoon squares of the cereal itself, dubbed “The Crazy Squares.” Marketed as the cereal with “The Taste You Can See,” each square features a distinct pattern of cinnamon-sugar swirls, which inspired our Cinnamon Swirl Bundt.
Cinnamon Swirl Bundt
Rich vanilla and cinnamon batters intertwine to form this stunning Bundt. Incorporating squares of a favorite cinnamon-sugar cereal crushed and blended into both batters, along with a Creamy Milk Glaze drizzled on top, this cake might just become your go-to for both breakfast and dessert.
Apple-Cinnamon Cereal Poke Cake
If finishing off the cereal milk after relishing a bowl of your cherished apple-and-cinnamon-flavored orange and green Os was a highlight of your childhood mornings, this recipe is for you. This cake incorporates Apple Jacks in every aspect, whether finely crushed or soaked to create cereal milk, resulting in a moist, lightly spiced cake layer, three-milk soak, and Apple-Cinnamon Cereal Whipped Topping that is filled with nostalgic flavor.
White Chocolate-Fruity Cereal Cookies
These vibrantly colorful White Chocolate-Fruity Cereal Cookies blend tender, chewy cookie dough with multicolored fruity cereal, sweet white chocolate chunks, and a hint of cardamom for a zesty, citrus-like flavor. What pairs best with these cookies? A refreshing glass of milk, of course!
Honey Graham Cereal Chocolate Pie
This Honey Graham Cereal Chocolate Pie features a buttery and crispy Golden Grahams Cereal crumb crust combined with rich chocolate filling, creating an irresistibly cool and creamy dessert. It elevates the traditional graham cracker crust with intensified flavors of honey and brown sugar. The bittersweet chocolate filling balances the crust's sweetness, and a topping of Whipped Chocolate Topping and crushed cereal squares adds just the right texture to the final bites.
