Conclusion of the Jam Jar Martini - Bake from Scratch
Promise us one thing: you will never discard another jam jar with a hint of flavor left at the bottom. It's a cocktail just waiting to be shaken . . . right in the jar. We adore Bonne Maman for their excellent quality and rich flavors. If you've ever sought a reason to buy their fantastic Advent calendar, cocktail hour is your excuse. Gather some friends and let everyone mix up their preferred coupe!

Makes 1 serving
2 ounces of jam or preserves, your choice of flavor (still in the jar)
2 ounces of chilled vodka
½ ounce of fresh lemon juice
½ ounce of Simple Syrup (recipe follows)
In the jam jar containing the leftover preserves (see note), add the vodka, lemon juice, and Simple Syrup. Add ice and shake until it's cold. Strain into a coupe glass.
Note: If your jam jar isn't empty, combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker using 2 ounces of jam instead.
We’d love to hear how it turned out!
Simple Syrup
2 cups of water
1 cup of granulated sugar
In a medium saucepan, mix 2 cups of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar; cook over medium heat, stirring often, until the sugar dissolves. Take it off the heat and allow it to cool completely at room temperature. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
We’d love to hear your feedback!
